Too many girls in my gallery... please give a warm welcome to the first male portrait!
The main idea was that half of his face is hidden in shadow; just like a secret. There are many other little things... but I'll leave that for you to interpret!  I actually tried to give him a 'Mona Lisa' smile... I don't think I succeeded... but you can see my attempt in the full version. Hair is based off my cousin's who has had the same hairstyle for 9 years. Z'OMG THE DETAILS. AWESOME. AWESOME. The skin tone and the lighting look so perfect! And the red-ish eyes add even more intrigue to the piece, along with the shadows.
I think this piece really creates a story - a secret, or many secretes, like you said. In that way, you portrayed the concept really really well. *______*

I love how the background has its own details, but isn't intrusive to the main focus of the image (the guy) at all. The colour is monotone, and helps add to the mysterious vibe. Also, around his torso, the light is a lot lighter - sort of like an aura. +__+ But it's subtle, and helps add to the vibe.
